Another European festival date for 2012!

In addition to having recently been added to the line-up for Brutal Assault Festival in the Czech Republic (August 9th-11th, 2012) we are really excited to say that today we were also confirmed for Germany’s Summer Breeze Festival (August 16th-18th, 2012). For the former, it will be our first ever time performing in Czech, and for the latter, it’ll be our second time in Germany and at Summer Breeze – thanks for having us back! These shows will form part of our European tour to promote our third album, which is being recorded in January and will be released in early 2012. We can’t wait to return to Europe and play these awesome festivals. At this stage, it looks like the Australian album tour will be around May of next year, and we’re looking forward to playing in Melbourne and also returning to Sydney and Brisbane (and hopefully more). Be’lakor returns to Europe in 2012!

With our third album due to be released in early 2012, we’re already planning our European tour (August), which will follow the Australian tour (around May).

The first date that we’re happy to announce is the Czech Republic’s Brutal Assault Festival, which is held from August 9th-11th in 2012.

We have increased our merch lines to now include the classic ‘Stone’s Reach’ and ‘The Frail Tide’ t-shirt designs (previously sold out), with these now available in both long and short sleeve shirts. All of our webstore merch items are printed on demand as you order them, so you don’t have to worry about there being shortages in the stock or size you want. We recently played our only show of the year, taking a break from song writing and album preparation to perform in Melbourne. We played three news songs, with the other songs in our set being Sun’s Delusion, Venator, Neither Shape Nor Shadow, Held in Hollows and Countless Skies. It was a great night, so thanks to all the fans who came along.

The video from one of the new songs that we played, “Fraught,” will be up soon on our official YouTube channel, so keep an eye out for it in the next few days. If you’ve got a Youtube account, make sure you subscribe to our channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/belakorband .

Following our announcement last week, our website has now been updated to include our new merch store! To buy Be’lakor stuff simply click the following pages at the top of the screen:

We plan to expand our merch line soon to include new designs and, maybe, some more functional items so keep checking it out!

We are very pleased to announce that we have just launched our new merch store via Reverbnation!

Our first line of ‘classic’ Be’lakor merch has been released and is now available to purchase, with a range of t-shirts and a hoodie available.

As the webstore is being run out of the United States (and is not subject to the high Australian dollar), we are finally able to offer cheap prices to our international fans with shirts starting at US$24.95! Another advantage of this new merch store is that all items are printed on-demand, meaning that you can always get the stock in the sizes you want.

Animator wanted for music video

Be’lakor is looking for an animator to design and produce our first music video. The job will require a considerable amount of work, creating an ambitious animated clip that runs for about 10 minutes. We are open to any styles or suggestions within the broad scope of animation.

This job will suit either a passionate music fan with animation skills or, perhaps, an animation student who is looking to further develop their portfolio, as we cannot offer cash salary (we’re saving every penny to finance our next album).

So… what can we offer?

- Lots of exposure to thousands of viewers – the artist will receive full credit and their name will feature at the start/end of the video, with full promotion on our various websites (check out our YouTube videos and last.fm page to get an indication of what sort of exposure your work might receive). We will also strive to have the video aired on metal-focused music video shows in Australia and abroad;

- Free merch (signed by the band, if that sort of thing interests you), including an advanced copy of our next album.

2011 Update

It’s a new year, and time for an update.

We are hard at work now on our third album. We’ve written three songs and a fourth is well on the way. No title for the album as yet. We played a new song off the album at a recent show in Melbourne (the song is called “Fraught”). We appreciate the fact that fans have respected our request not to post the video on youtube. This is mainly because we are always changing and refining songs… but also because we really want this album to be fresh and new when it’s released, rather than having several songs off it that people already know.

Some fans might have noticed that Myspace has been going through a few changes. We have been finding Myspace to be extremely slow, buggy and, at times, barely useable. For this reason, we are now relying heavily on facebook to communicate with fans. It’s preferable in almost every way. We also continue to use the official Be’lakor forum, where all band members post to varying degrees. So, please make sure you check out and “like” the Be’lakor facebook page ( http://www.facebook.com/pages/Belakor/23084022229 ) and visit the Be’lakor forum ( http://www.ultimatemetal.com/forum/belakor-490/ ) for news.

We are working on improving our official mailing list, because there have been problems signing up, and we will be using Reverbnation.com more in the months to come, so keep an eye on that too.

Back from the tour… and a Be’lakor merch sale!

Well, we’re now back from our tour of Europe. It was a great experience – the reception we received at the Summer Breeze Festival in Germany was beyond anything we could have hoped for. Now that we’re home in Melbourne again, our attention has returned to song writing. We will spend the next 6-12 months writing material for our third album, playing only occasional shows throughout this period. We’re really looking forward to creating some new music. \m/

We are also now having a sale on The Frail Tide t-shirts, as we have got quite a few of these left after the tour. They’re half-price, though of course the P&H costs to Europe, U.S., etc, have remained the same. Make sure you grab one! In addition to this, we are happy to say that the Be’lak0r beanie is also now available through the webstore. We post all merch and CDs out ourselves and will send to anywhere in the world.

We are very excited to be playing these dates in Germany, Portugal and England. It’s been a long time coming, and after some recent setbacks with the cancellation of dates, we have relied on our fans in Europe to help us in finding these shows. We owe a great gratitude to everyone who e-mailed us suggesting venues and contacts. Whilst we obviously couldn’t make it to every country in the short space of time that we have on this tour, we hope that some of the fans in other countries who have been waiting to see us will also be able to make it to one of these shows.
